EVA P. Leis

Mrs. Eva P. Leis, 2328 E. 16th St., died Sunday at the home of her daughter where she was recuperating after being hospitalized. She was 62.

She was born in in Missouri, April 17, 1910, and was married to Fred Leis at Fort Morgan on Sept. 12, 1930. They came to Greeley from Fort Morgan in 1937, and Mrs. Leis worked as a kitchen aide in the Weld County Nursing Home, and as a cook for several fraternities and sororities.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, and an extension homemakers club.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Fred Leis, are a daughter, Mrs Paul (Nancy) Adams and a son, Frederick W. Leis, both of Greeley; her mother, Mrs. Pearl McCormick of Greeley, and a brother, Alva McCormick of Casper, Wyo. She was the grandmother of Mrs. Karen Warr, Terry Leis and Doug and Patrick Adams, and the great grandmother of Jeremy Scott Warr, all of Greeley.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Macy Allnutt Drawing Room,. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

  Burial Notes:

Frederick and Eva are interred about three rows to the left of the Christus Garden steps, and 2 spaces in from the lane on the north. Row 39-A, Space 2.
