"Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Pittman, who passed away Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. C. McChesney, were conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the Ringgold church, Rev. Emerson McAninch having charge of the services. Burial was beside her husband, who passed away 32 years ago. Mrs. Pittman would have been 92 years of age had she lived until June 25. She was a woman loved by all who knew her, for her beautiful christian character. At last victory is hers. Relatives from a distance attending the services were Mrs. Ida Pittman Gray of Omaha, Mrs. Flora Kirby Crank and son of Des Moines, Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Wroughton of Diagonal, Miss Marjorie Lamb and Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Nauman of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Clair McChesny and baby of Van Wert. The only surviving member of her immediate family is one brother, A. L. Case, of Newkirk, Oklahoma, and who could not attend. Of her children, Mrs. Belle Whitehead of Arkansas, Mrs. Dove McCormick of Holly, Colorado, and Ed Pittman, of Cannon City, Colorado, were unable to attend."
