bullet  General Notes:

Christian's will was filed for probate in Chester Co. on the 8th month 6, 1722. The will identified his heirs as the widow Oade, eldest son Benjamin, youngest son Andrew, and daughter Ann, married to Herman Long. (File No. 146) Lancaster County was created in 1729 from Chester Co.

The origin of this family is that they were originally from Switzerland but removed to Freidelsheim in the Palatinate where they remained until sometime before 1717, when the family consisting of the parents, sons Benjamin and Andrew and daughter Ann emigrated to North America, leaving behind the son Christian who was "forced to remain behind at the Court." (Biographical Annals of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Vol. page 62.)

Christian was a Bishop in the Mennonite faith. He lived west of Lancaster and west of Little Conestoga Creek in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania

Christian and his family were in the Friedelsheim, Germany Congregation in 1709. At this time he was 45 years of age.
