Christian arrived in America later than his family because he was "forced to remain behind at the Court." He arrived in Philadelphia on 3 Sep 1739 on the ship Robert and Alice (Ralph B. Strassburger, William J. Hinke, Editor, "Pennsylvania German Pioneers", Vol I, page 267.)

Christian and his family lived in Manheim Twp., Lancaster Co., Penn.

In 1709, Christian was with his mother and father in the Friedelsheim, Germany Congregation. He was 17 years of age at this time.
