President’s Message

I would like to thank everyone that supported the rock bag fill. We had a really good time enjoyed good friends and good food. We filled a lot of bags and did some crafts. Hope Jay is feeling better.

Hope everyone has a nice 4th of July, and looking forward to seeing everyone in August at the steak fry. Remember to get your reservation in, don't forget.

We were all sorry to hear about Larry Higley Mother passing. Our sympathy is with him and his family.

Remember to stay on the path of Friendship.

Have a great Month.

Tooele Gem And Mineral Minutes
Held At Home Of Jay Woods
June 9 2001 9:00 AM

The meeting was called to order by president Donna Chavez, everyone was welcomed. This is our combination meeting and grab bag fill. The minutes and the treasurer report will be given at our next meeting. Larry Higley's mother passed away this morning, the club sends it’s sympathy to him and his family.

Many recieved their show tickets. Bob Kirby has arranged our bylaws so they are in a more readable form. After some discussion it was decided that the deceased charter members, "addresses" would be removed from our bylaws. It was decided that the club should get rid of our heavy tables, and replace them with light ones, it was decided that we would sell the old heavy tables to club members for fifteen dollars each to members that want them. The steak fry will be August 11th at Settlement Canyon, Don and Ruth will order the steaks. Dennis reported the club's web page has gotten one hundred hits for the month of May. The meeting was adjourned.
