We are pretty busy here in Quartzsite a lot of the shows are getting set up. Jay & I havebeen walking through them looking for supplies for our show. Jay has puchased some things we need.

Bob Titus, Byron Scott, Jay Woods & I went out last week with some members of Quartzsite Club looking for Fire Agate, but we didn’t get much of it.

We will keep checking the shows for supplies & ideas on crafts.

We are going to try and have something new & hopefully interesting for you at the meetings. This month we will be showing, "Cripple Creek, World’s Greatest Gold Camp". I will be bringing a list of programs that are available from the Rocky Mountain Federation, so you may want come and chose what you would like to see in the future. In the summer months we may need to reserve the 2 month in advance.

We will also be having a silent auction, so please bring something in.

New Library Book:
Simon & Schuster’s Guide to "Rocks And Minerals". Looks like a very good field guide to identifying your specimens & some rocks by, appearance, physical properties, environment, occurrence & use, with good color pictures. Donated by Dennis Chapman

Letter From the editor:
Sorry about the little update in the last newsletter. I always get a little nutsy cookoo by the time the newsletter goes out to the copy shop, and with what’s going on with my mom, I guess I panicked. As far as the club buying a notebook computer, a good one is just costs too much & I’m scared of a cheap one might ware out to fast. I was able to get a cheap remanufactured laptop (a little slower & less memory than I’m used too, but will do the job), so for now the newsletter will keep coming. I still think it would be a good idea for someone to be an assistant editor, just in case something happens & I will not be able to continue as editor. Dennis Chapman
