These are my first tries at Bean Casting I learned on Don Norris
online class. The top, I poured the silver in a straight line & set
with Fresh Water Pearls. The left I put water in with the beans before
pouring. The right was just a free pour.

Here are a few new methods I have learned. The left is molten silver
over damp broom straw & I put in a blue tourmaline crystal in a natural
groove, 1 ½ inch long. The right is a small amount of silver poured
over rock salt, it gave a great nugget affect, ¾ inch long.

One of my favorite crystals. It is an amethyst scepter that has
grown over twin double terminated crystals, with a small cluster &
possibly a hydroinclusion inside. The silver hand is just casted
from a commercial wax, but really showed off the crystal well.

My first attempt at carving wax for lost wax casting.
The bell caps & inside the boarder of the bolo was done with a wax
pen. |
| My first attempt with Art Clay Silver. It
is worked like porcelain clay, fired & you have fine silver jewelry.
The stone is Crazy Lace Agate. |

I haven’t cut in a LONG time, but a friend wanted to get
me going again. These are stones from Spore Mtn. in central Utah.

| This is some Ruby & Zeoite I cut in 2002. Interesting stone,
the zeoite took a great polish but had trouble with the ruby. |
