George E. Searcy

George E. Searcy, 71, died in his home, 112 East G, at 7:30 this morning. He was struck by a car while working for the city during the flood last fall and suffered a broken leg. He had been in ill health since.

Mr Searcy was born in Anderson City, Ky,. Nov 3 1870 and had lived in this community for 34 years.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Maggie Searcy , a daughter Mrs. L. F. McConnell of Salina ; a son Charles L. Searcy, 400 Cresent, and six grandchildren.

Cemetery Records of Reno Co. Kansas badly misspelled him, he is listed as George Edon Searcey.

George married (Searcy).

George next married Margaret "Maggie" L. LOWBER, daughter of Joseph P. LOWBER and Eliza, about 1899.¹¹ (Margaret "Maggie" L.
