Family history has him passing away just before he was able to see his grandson, Charles Searcy. That would make his death between 31 Aug 1901 & 15 Jan 1902 when his wife Sarah started collecting his Pension.

Drafted into Company D, 26th Infantry Regiment Kentucky on 21 Sep 1864. Discharged from Company D, 26th Infantry Regiment Kentucky on 30 Jun 1865 at Salisbury, NC. 3. Census, 1870, District 4, Anderson, Kentucky, USA. 30 4. Census, 1880, District 5, Anderson, Kentucky, USA. 14 His niece Mollie J. SEARCY is living with them. Charles married Martha E. PETTY, daughter of Samuel B. PETTY and Mary A SHOUSE, on 16 Dec 1858 in , Anderson, Kentucky, USA.26 (Martha E. PETTY was born about 1844 in Kentucky 31.)
Charles Searcy & Martha Petty were married by J.H. Walker. I think he was a Baptist Minister 26 Charles next married Sarah PETTY, daughter of Samuel B. PETTY and Mary A SHOUSE, on 11 Feb 1880 in , Anderson, Kentucky, USA. (Sarah PETTY was born about 1842, died on 10 Apr 1924 in Sinai, Anderson, Kentucky, USA 32 and was buried on 18 Apr 1924 in Petty Graveyard, Anderson City, Anderson, Kentucky, USA 32.) |
