Drafted into Company D, 26th Infantry Regiment Kentucky on 21 Sep 1864. Discharged from Company D, 26th Infantry Regiment Kentucky on 30 Jun 1865 at Salisbury, NC.

3. Census, 1870, District 4, Anderson, Kentucky, USA. ³⁰

4. Census, 1880, District 5, Anderson, Kentucky, USA. ¹⁴ His niece Mollie J. SEARCY is living with them.

Charles married Martha E. PETTY, daughter of Samuel B. PETTY and Mary A SHOUSE, on 16 Dec 1858 in , Anderson, Kentucky, USA.²⁶ (Martha E. PETTY was born about 1844 in Kentucky ³¹.)
