Markham dies; rites pending

Funeral services will be announced later by Roesch Brothers Funeral Chapel for Charles Carl Markham, 79, McLoud. Mr. Markham died in his home Sunday at 10:50 a.m. He had been in failing health for about two years.

He was born July 23, 1883 in Kentucky, and moved to this county more than 50 years ago. He lived on a farm north of McCloud for many years and was later employed at Tinker Field. He retired in about 1955. Mr. Markham attended the Church of Christ at McLoud.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Beulah Markham of McLoud; three sons, Carl, Edward and E. J. all of Fowler, Colo.; three daughters Mrs. Geneva Boland of 526 N. Park, Mrs. Atha Pickard of Visalia Calif., and ; two stepsons, Forest Phillips of Harrah, and C. C. Phillips of Phoenix, Ariz.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Winnie Page of Rt. 3; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

OBITUARY
Markham rites will be Friday

Funeral services for Charlie Carl Markham, 79, McLoud, will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Roesch Brother Funeral Chapel. Mr. Markham died Sunday morning at his home.

Rev. Virgil Cohen, pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in McLoud, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Bears will be Courtney Lisle, George David Bird Jr., Horace Driscoll, Elmer Holder, Delmar Cox and J. E. Humerickhouse.

Mr. Markham was born July 23, 1883, in Kentucky, and had lived in this county for more than 50 years. For a number years he lived on the family farm north of McLoud, and later he was employed at Tinker Field, retiring in about 1955. Mr. Markham attended the Church of Christ at McLoud.

He is survived his wife Mrs. Beulah Markham of the home; three sons, Carl, Edward and E. J. all of Fowler, Colo.; three daughters Mrs. Geneva Boland of 526 N.
