Obituary

Obsequies Over Mrs. Lorinda Thomson

The Mortal remains of Mrs. Lorinda E. Thompson were laid away Saturday, June 22. at her home in Scipio, She having died on June 20th from an attack of Spinal Meningitis.

Sister Thompson was born seventy years ago in Michigan, and soon after came to Utah, and was married to Daniel Thompson fifty four years ago in Fillmore, where they began life together, neither having any relatives living in Millard county.

Notwithstanding her weakly condition she is the mother of twelve children, two preceded her to the Great Beyond and ten which are as follows: Wilmer, W. R., Henry, Raymond B., Mrs. W. J. Lindsay, Mrs. Marion Robins, Mrs. J. A. Kelly and Miss Lizzy Thompson.

Remarks of condolence were made by Elders O L. Thompson, C. A. Memmott, Samuel Robins, J. B Martin, Sister I. E. Robinson, Ashby, and Daniel Thompson, who stated that notwithstanding the deceased having lived in Plural marriage, he never knew her to be vexed at the trials which she had to endure. From the record she has made there is no doubt about her reward and all who knew her feel that she did well and would desire to emulate her example.

Bro. Thompson is in very poor health, and the loss of his wife makes the trial greater.
