MARY ANN NIX PASSES AWAY
After months of much suffering with cancer, Mrs. Nix died at her residence in this city last Friday morning. Mrs. Nix had been a widow for many years, as her husband, Thomas Nix, died years ago, leaving her with a famil of four children to rear, one son and three daughters, a duty she performed that was worthy of shuch a kind and noble mother.
Mrs. Mary Ann Nix lived the life of a faithful Latter Day Saint, and always took an active part in Church work. She was born in Tooele City Dec. 25, 1861. She was the daughter of F.X. and Mary Ann Lougy.
Funeral services were held in the South ward meeting house last Sunday afternoon. The services being presided over by Bishop John J. Gellett. The choir sang, "Resting now from care and sorrow." Prayer by Elder John A. Bevan. S. W. Lee sang the solo, "Lead me Heavenly Father all the way."
The speakers were Elder H. B. Haynes, and Stake President C. A. Orme. Mrs. Eveline Isgreen sang a solo. The Choir sang, "I Need Thee every hour." The Benidiction was by Bishop Mathew Speirs.
The internment was in the Tooele cemetery. The grave being dedicated by Bishop Edward M. Atkin.
