At 4.40 o'clock a.m., Sunday, April 9th, of paralytic stroke, JOHN WHITING, age 61 years 2 months and 6 days.

Mr. Whiting was a well known citizen of this city, and was uniniversally respected. He was born at Wordon, Northamptonshire, England, January 12th 1821. He leaves 5 children and only one sister to morn his loss.

The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock Wednesday, April 19th, from the Institute. Friends of the family are respectfully invited.-[Com

John married Ann PINFOLD, daughter of James PINFOLD and Sarah (Pinfold). (Ann PINFOLD was born about 1827 in England,²¹⁶ died on 23 Jan 1872 ²⁹⁸ and was buried on 25 Jan 1872 ²⁹⁸.)
