James H. Whiting, 63, of 143 North Fifth West street, died of a heart attack at 10 o'c1ock this morning while at work on a curb and gutter project at Nineteenth East and Ninth South Streets.

Funeral services for James Henry Whiting. 63, 143 North Fifth West Street, former Alpine ranch foreman and lifelong resident of Utah, who died Tuesday, were conducted today at 2128 South State Street by Bishop L. DeVon Mecham of the Sixteenth Ward.
Burial was in Salt Lake City Cemetery.
Mr. Whiting was born in Salt Lake, Sept. 24. 1877, a son of John B. and Sarah Shepherd Whiting. He had worked as a ranch foreman in many parts of the state for several years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sadie Lutz Whiting: two daughters Mrs. Hazel King and Mrs. Helen Potter of Salt Lake: a son. LeRoy Whiting of Carp. Nev.: three sisters, Mrs. Annie Anderson of Ogden, Mrs. Elsie Comer of Hollywood Calif., and Mrs. Daisy Lutz, of Garden City. Utah: two brothers, Noll Whiting of Evanston, Wyo., and Fred Whiting of Ogden, and five grandchildren.
